"Your BUT is getting bigger as you speak"

This is what I say to some of my children and even some adults I have counseled when they start making excuses instead of taking responsibility. In other words, the more excuses you make, the bigger your BUT gets. Methinks, the Lord Jesus has to make enough excuses for us.

When I have more time, I will write about how to keep your 'but' from growing at all.

(I'll give you a hint: "Let your 'yes' be 'yes' and your 'no' be 'no'...")
